Well, it IS possible to get a Prius up to $30K, but you have to check pretty much all the option boxes. A 'plain vanilla' Prius is $23K, before taxes, well tarted up around $28K. I suspect that the obscene tax rates many European countries levy on drivers are responsible for much of the difference.

Forget the $s for a moment, remember way back when when GM came out with a diesel cars and trucks? Consider how many Pruis's are on the road. You really don't want to be the first, do you?
