Re: tires???
I put the "Continental CrossContact LX20 with EcoPlus technology" on the Silverado. Got them from TireRack because of the mileage warranty and because they are supposed to be LRR tires.
I've taken a massive MPG hit since putting them on - on the order of 20%. That was cold weather mileage - hoping it's not as bad as the temps warm up.
Should have listened to Evois!

A 20% loss on MPG is really severe.

Re: tires???
The tires are 39lbs each, which is on the lighter side of tires this size. Them being underinflated could be the problem. Ive never had my mileage fluctuate that much with tires. I'd pull the tires off and check the brakes, I wonder if a caliper or slide is locked up.

Re: tires???
I just had my Michelin LX/2 replaced at 43,000 under warranty because they didnt last 70,000. Michelin offered me 26% off new set. Sucks they wore out in 43000 miles but still far better than the Bridgestone Dueller II's that lasted 26,000 miles.
nice that Michelin actually warranted their tires, I thought a tire warranty wasnt worth the paper it was printed on. Or maybe I was just scammed by the tire dealer. I still paid $800 for set of 4 (that includes mount/balance lifetime rotation/balance and road hazard)
Still pricey.
