Nope. And look at the numbers below! Great features, and just the right size for a family of 4 or smaller, in my book. - John

My only regret was not waiting to get the FEH. I traded in an F150 a couple years ago as gas prices were climbing. The FEH just came out and there was limited supply and dealer markups were ridiculous so I bought a regular Escape Limited. I loved it except the gas mileage wasn't much better than my F150. Once Ford offered more incentives and I could get the FEH equipped the way I wanted I traded the regular Escape in on the FEH.

I know I could have saved myself some bucks if I would have waited another year and just got the FEH. Oh well, I'm happy now.

I don't regret anything about buying our '06 FEH. I wanted a hybrid, she wanted another SUV to haul around our 2 kids all week (we had an '03 escape).

We could have shelled out a lot more $$$ (both in sticker price and financing charges) for the Highlander or the RX400 and gotten the "luxury/HP" out of our hybrid, but the fuel economy would have suffered, our wallets would have suffered, and TBH we both liked the Escape's looks the best.

0% financing for 60 months, $1,500 under sticker price, leather/heated seats, nav system, AWD, an amazing tax break ($2000 tax CREDIT is huge), and almost twice the gas mileage over our '03 escape. Nope, no regrets at all!

We bought my FEH in March 2005, took out a credit union loan, paid sticker when other dealers in the area were charging (or threatening to charge) $3000-5000 over, & by the time we filed our tax return, the $2000 tax credit had morphed into a tax *deduction*.

Now Ford is offering no-interest financing & free gas, & the tax credit is still a tax credit.

While I have occasional flashes of "wish I had waited", for the most part I'm happy we bought when we did. I did get a good trade-in allowance for my Saturn, & I've been saving gas $$ for over a year.

If Saturn had come out with the VUE they were planning in 2003, I would have wished I'd waited, because we could get a discount through my mother-in-law. But my FEH is much better than what Saturn is offering, & I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Not even a tiny bit; heck, part of me wished I had it sooner!

Not at all. My wife and I bought 2 of them one year ago and we're both very happy with them. I love the technology and I'm always trying to see how high I can push the milage. It actually made my commute a little more fun. I enjoy driving it.

i'm thrilled with mine so far. like some others mentioned, i wished i had been able to take advantage of the ford discounts, financing and x-plan options when i ordered my car. ford started offering it two months after i had taken delivery of my FEH, and my saleman said they couldn't honor anything retroactively. i had repeatedly pestered him regarding discounts *before* the car arrived in hopes the dealership would allow me to use the x-plan, but no luck.

anyway, the towing capacity (or lack of) is a bit of a bummer, but not a crisis for me. only other little things i would have liked to have (at ordering time) are step bars on the sides, the fancy temp gauge on my rear view mirror, and that bright blue exterior color with the premium package.

Looked at Honda's, Toyota's you name it.... Bottom line, in my area most of the Toyota and Honda dealers are huge volume places. The sales folks were pretty arrogant as well. When we left one deal on the table at the Honda dealer, the sales guy says to us as we are walking out, "Well I don't care, If you don't buy it someone else will".

Went to our local Mercury dealer where we had previously bought and got a pretty good deal on our '06MMH. Haven't looked back since.....
