It could be overheating via MECS pump-hybrid battery fans not working-lacking of cooling air to the hybrid battery via air conditioning lines/blend door. Do you have a scanguage to monitor sensors.

Has the MCES pump been changed? To check, turn the key top "on" but do not start the engine. Get out-move to the front of the vehicle and you should heard the mecs pump making noise.

Question Re: '06 not turning to electrical mode_ HV Cooling Fan

Hello.. hope everything being happy.

I have checked the HV cooling Fan, there are 2 .. one is working when the the Escape is on.. but the other don't..
I don't know if the 2nd start later or have to start at the same time..

If i have to buy it.. any suggestion ?

By the way, there are any free place to download a mechanic PDF manual.. i don't live in the US.. and it is very difficult to find solutions here..

Thanks in advance.

I replaced these cooling fans in my '05 about as month ago and it wasn't too hard at all. Did it in a little over an hour. Now my battery stays nice and cool.
