Hello all I have a used 2006 FEH with 83K miles. So far I really like it it is my 1st SUV and hybird. My question is when I unlock my door I hear a nosie for the MCSE I believe but not sure if it is suppose to sound the way it does. There is a sound like the pump is on it's last leg but my Ford Service Rep says it's normal. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know what a "MCSE" is. Is is perfectly normal to hear the brake system pressurize when you unlock the door of a 2006 FEH. If by MCSE you mean MECS pump, simply unlocking a door will not activate it.

 

On my 2008 there is a sound when I unlock the car - it is the brakes charging up, not the MCES. They went to a different braking system in the 2009 model.
