Default Tax Credit and Delivery delays

Bad news for those buying the 2009. The full tax credit expires on 31 Dec 2008. After that the credit is only 50% for 6 months, then 25% for 6 months, then nothing.

The problem is that in order to claim the credit, you must take delivery of the vehicle. I'm hoping Ford really pushes production out, or people won't be able to get their FEH/MMH before the deadline.

It would be unfortunate if the fleet deliveries prevented private owners from getting the credit.
