Fan blows at feet even when heat turned off.

Fan blows at feet even when heat turned off.
I have recently noticed that the fan blows from under the dash on my feet even when the heat/air are turned off. Is this something that occurs in every Tahoe Hybird - perhaps because of the batteries under the back seat?

Have you tried the air flow control in both fresh(outside air) and recirculate modes? My Insight will blow air out of whichever outlet I used last when in fresh air mode even with the fan off.

It always blows at my feet no matter what outlet was used when it was turned off. Also, I have noticed that the temperature setting controls the heat of the air it blows at my feet, even though the fan is turned off so you can't even see the temperature setting. So if it is set to a high heat setting then turned off, the air it blows at my feet is hot - and same with vice-versa. Strange. I need to take it in for the battery recall thing so I will ask about it when it is serviced -- but it would be interesting to know if this happens on all Tahoe Hybrids.

I tried this over the weekend with flip-flops on. I was driving and turned off the climate control. I could feel nothing blowing from any vent or the footwell area.
