first recall...
I just got a recall notice from GM about the battery voltage issue. Since software was updated and I have seen no further issues (my problem was a faulty crimp in the trans wiring harness) i'm not worried. I'm glad to see GM is being very proactive and responsive to issues with this new technology.

Ironic
Sunday, when I started the Tahoe, the gas gauge was reading totally empty, the warning chimed and said "Low Fuel". I ask my wife (rhetorically) if she drove it last. At the bottom of my driveway (I had let it warm-up while I loaded the kids in it), it was in auto-stop, I pressed the gas and nothing. Car didn't move. Put it in park, shut if off turned it on, and it did not start. My nose was sticking out in traffic, so I habitually put it in reverse. It started and backed up. The fuel gauge rose to 1/4 tank and it ran fine from there.
Yesterday, the recall notice shows up.
Hmmm.... Sounds like software!

you might have experieced 'shiftitis'
after using remote start, you need to put the key in place turn it all the way as if starting it, and let the vehicle get to the run status, typically in the amount of time it takes for the seat belt chime to stop. If you shift it into gear before that in some cases the computers don't understand and shut down the system.

Re: first recall...
Hiya Guyz,
I received my recall today, getting it checked this Friday. I talked to the service guy on the phone (Ron Baker techs are awesome!!) and he said he had done one today. If there are no issues the service took him about a half hour.
I cant believe I have had mine for 10 months, thing runs like a chap. I was concerned (see earlier post about setting) since the build was FEB 08, but I don't seem to have any issues.
Elvis sounds so good in the Tahoe....

Re: first recall...
Why did you have the control module replaced?

Re: first recall...
CPMS: It was the "fuel system control module" - recall #08411. My 2009 was on the list.
Ed: I haven't noticed. But then again, I haven't driven much yet. And, I've only had this thing for a few weeks, so I'm not sure I will notice a difference from the way it was before.
I originally went in for the fuel system control module replacement, but then the service tech said there were two recalls. So, I had both done at that time.
Both recalls took the tech about 30 minutes to do.
