I'm just curious, but why would you want to?

As far as I know, the AUTO STOP indication says the trruck is currently running off the 300V battery and and ICE is OFF. That is the most efficient manner in which to run the truck.

AUTO STOP will be the only setting I would leave on. I thought a saw the option first when I got it new, and I can't find it any more. Does it even exist or that was the indicator I saw?

I don't reecall a way to manually inhibit AUTO STOP. Wife has the truck this weekend, so no way for me to check right now.

Yes, you can disable the auto stop. It is in the dash menu using one of the four buttons on the dash. It is in the same area as the Headlight timer.

If you want Auto Stop off you could drive in shift selector "M". However this may run the HV battery up near the upper limit on charge and you will notice some odd noises and behavior as the hybrid trys to limit charging.

I don't recomend it for long periods.

Marty, My understanding is that you cannot select Auto Stop Off?

Ken: you can't select it off with the DIC but "M" or the hood open will force the engine to run all the time. The 2008 and 2009s will start the engine when selecting reverse but Guss will have Auto-Stop in reverse on his 2010.

Now if they would just let me have Auto-Stop in 4 LOW I could drag stuff around quietly.

Marty,

I just got back from the dealer witrh my new 2010 Tahoe, Granite blue/Titanium interior
Beautiful Car wow drives great
The first thing I noticed when I was backign up, that the engine didn't start and I said oops???? and there you go, you just confirmed that in here LOL thanks a lot.

I have noticed another thing when I am watching Insant Cons, it shows INST Cons v8 most of the time, it goes from hybrid electrical mode right to V8, it deosn't go from hybrid to V4 then V8, is that normal?
if I kick it down a bit, and release my foot, I noticed it goes from V8 to V4 for few seconds, then back to V8 combo with hybrid mode.
Is this action normal or what?

looking forward to hearing from you, or anyone expereincing this.
I will be bombarding this forum in the next few days with lots of questions for sure

looking forward to hearing from you
Regards
