First oil change and other service?

I'm requesting advice on servicing my HCHII. I've had it just over 1 year and I have only 5,714 miles on it. The oil indicator shows 30%. I live in the Pasadena, CA. area, so I'm not subject to extreme cold weather. What's the general opinion on changing the oil because the car is one year old and should I get anything else done? Thanks in advance.

Honda recommends servicing annually even if the Maintenance Minder does not drop down to < 15%. Oil does deteriorate with age (also the filter), hence the need for servicing.

Very good advice !!!

Also, if you wish to keep your car for a long time and get maximum dollar on trade in (when its time comes) please service it at Honda and keep the paperwork. If you deal with a reliable dealership, this paperwork plus the Honda servicing will fetch you much higher value and leverage when trading in (or just selling) the vehicle.
