Just like to say: I like the door lock settings, we set ours to lock at the 15km threshold, handy. I think that applies to all the Civic's in the current generation.

How do you get A/C off with defrost?

Here is the procedure for the A/C hack:
A/C defrosts windows quicker by removing humidity. This procedure will not stop the A/C from coming on automatically when you defrost – it just gives you the option to manually turn it off.
1. Turn car ON.
2. Turn TEMP all the way COLD.
3. Turn FAN to OFF.
3. Put VENT control to FACE.
4. Turn car OFF.
5. Press and hold RECIRCULATE and A/C buttons.
6. With buttons still held, turn car ON again.
7. Hold buttons several seconds until GREEN LIGHT finishes blinking.
To restore default setting, repeat steps.

To those who have completed the AC hack, please share with us how your Autostop system works when you select defrost BUT with the AC turned off. Ordinary defrost with the AC on will deactivate the Autostop. Is that still the case when you turn the AC off on the defrost setting?
