Dropped the stupid valve stem caps from the TOO SHORT valves into the wheel, where hopefully they will just bounce under the car and just far enough that you cannot reach without lying on the ground.
I'm not saying I have done this, but it just seems like an easy thing to do. More than once.

Never! (not even the time that I lost the cap--which I still need to replace). I wonder if they still make those valve caps that are shaped like little dice that a friend of mine used to have on his BMX bike...

LOL.
I just did this on Monday when trying to put some air in my front driver tire. I had to drive the car forwards and backwards a couple of times to get the **** thing to fall out. Luckily they are gray so I could find it easily against the black concrete.

I did this last night when I checked the air in my tire and I'm sure I will do it again this afternoon when I top off my tires! I even thought about creating a thread about it.
Mine always seems to roll into the wheel juuuuuuust out of reach and I have to push my car forward 6 inches to get it out. Last night I was able to reach it both times it happened. I guess because the valve stem was at the bottom of the wheel.
Anybody tied a little string to it, yet? ;D

I actually did this the very first time I put air in the tires (a few months back). I never did find the original cap (I figured it would somehow get ejected while driving), so I put one from an old bicycle tire on, and it fits perfectly!!
