05 in Accident...
Well..05 was hit quite hard in the passenger door yesterday (need I suggest you don't let your children use your car!). It has been great for 30k and I am quite concerned about whether an auto body shop will have trouble getting the parts needed to fix it. Has anyone had something similar happen?
The side curtain and seat side airbags went off. The door is about a foot in, the glove box won't open, and the bottom is pushed into the passenger seat. The bottom is well bashed but I could not tell if that is the outer skin or perhaps the frame is bent.
Who knows I might be getting on 07 soon...
Thanks.

Re: 05 in Accident...
Sorry to hear about your car. Everyone walk away from this one? Hopefully there were no serious injuries. Sounds like the air bags did their job.
If you really like your '05, there was someone on this forum in MA that posted their '05 for sale with 17K miles for $20K. Sounds like a steal.

Re: 05 in Accident...
as some HAH parts look like model 2003, the doors also could be....
Far as i know there is no difference between the 03 and the 05 model in the doors...
if your interior is still in good shape, go to a junk-yard, only buy the metal door without interior, will be much cheaper..
to be sure i would take the mechanic or any other qualified person with me to avoid problems..
best wishes
