All my Honda dealers are inundating me with Buyback offers right now. They are mostly trying to get rid of their Accords, but I know they are always offering deals on Elements and Ridgelines. Most of the offers say they'll keep your payment the same. I'm sure you'll still lose money on the deal though.
What do you need to tow?
What's the towing capacity of the Element?
Can the Escape Hybrid tow?

Wow, that adds up to less than the load capacity of the HCHII. Are you sure you don't want to try adding a hitch. It's certainly worth a new thread like "How much can the HCHII really tow?"

Are there potential tax credit implications if you purchase?

Element tow capacity is 1500#. The FEH can tow, I looked at one with a factory hitch on it, but I don't know what it's rated for.

Take it to {CAR-MAX} and get a quote from them. I sold them my S60R Volvo and they were Approx. $3,700.00 Dollars more than the Volvo Dealer I bought it from. Good-Luck,

Yes it can and the "Maximum Lbs is 1,000". That includes the Weight of the Trailer and what the load is that it is carrying. This is on page 185 of the HAH Owners Manual for 2007.
