It's not your imagination. Jefferson County does, in fact, have the highest Prius per person (PPP) concentration in Washington.
Vehicle registration data obtained by The Leader last week from the Washington Department of Licensing shows that Jefferson County has 8.2 Prii per 1,000 residents. That's more than twice as high as the statewide PPP of 3.5.
Ranking second is San Juan County with a PPP of 7.3. Rounding out the top five counties are King (5.4), Clallam (5.2), and Island (4.8). Garfield County has just one Prius, state records show, for a PPP of 0.4
