The Energica Ego is the awesome Italian electric sports bike that we've been dying to see stateside since the concept was first revealed at the Milan International Motorcycle Show (EICMA) back in 2011. Thankfully, that's about to happen as the company's "Where is My Ego" tour brings bikes across the Atlantic for prospective buyers and the curious to try for themselves.

It is, of course, one thing to watch packs of moto-journalists ride and give their impressions. It's quite another to experience the pull of 134 electric horses for yourself, especially if it's your bank account that's mulling the $25,000 hit next year when they finally become available for sale.

Before it reaches our shores, the tour is going to visit Germany to allow ze Deutsch to sprechen sie speed. Italians have already said arrivederci to the event. If you want to ride, or perhaps just longingly stroke the Ego, be prepared to be in San Francisco on the 18th of July, Los Angeles on the 20th or New York on the 30th. You'll also need to sign up and answer a few questions on the tour website.
