Default Can my old brain remember them all?

Tough to try to recall them all - here goes:

1. 1974 Dodge Colt. Dark Orange, with really nice light tan velour seats. Drove it from 1979 to 1981, when it sacrificed it's life for the party - literally. We called it "The Tank" because it rode about 8 inches off the ground and could go virtually anywhere offroad I tried to take it, and that was a lot of places (I lived in a rural town and knew all the backroads well.) I drove to a lake party and it was showing "hot" on the dash, but I *HAD* to get to that party on time, so I drove it hot. Upon trying to go home the next morning early AM, I got this news: Radiator empty, block busted, never saw the road again. Mom sold it to a junk dealer about a year later for $300.
2. 1980 Datsun/Nissan 200SX. My mom bought this for me in 1982 when I was stationed in California in the Marine Corps. It had been hail damaged (beat to death) and was sold as a "total" to a local body shop, who sold it to us for about 1/3 of the retail value after beating out the dents and repainting it. Good deal on the car !! My Mom and Granny drove it out to me and flew back to Texas. While they were visiting me in Cali, we went to a Hall and Oates concert (my mom's favs in those days) and my Granny got her first ever (at age 57) look at lesbians in public - women kissing women, etc. She did not see ONE MINUTE of the stage, could not take her eyes off the people around us in the grassy lawn area. FUNNY !! I had that car until 1991, and I when I traded it in for $300 value for my next car, it had 323,000 miles on it. Great car, never left me stranded in all those miles.
3. 1984 Nissan Maxima. Good car, had the "speaking" female computer voice, "A Door Is Ajar" and "Fuel Level Is Low" were two things I remember it saying to me. Funny.
4. 1994 Nissan Maxima, leased it. Bad move. Leased it for my estranged wife, and then later we got back together and were stuck with an extra car. We ended up letting a complete stranger drive the car and pay the lease until it expired. Got our $350 deposit back at the end though, so no harm was done.
5. 1992 Toyota Cressida. Best car I ever owned, before my 2004 HCH. Cressidas were rock solid cars, built well, built to last, very luxurious. Traded it in on:
6. 1992 Infiniti Q45. Great car, another mistake. Car was overpriced, devalued quickly, and went through fuel injectors like crazy. Ended up trading it the week my first son was born and losing $5000 on the deal. That upside down money is STILL HAUNTING ME TODAY, and my son turns 9 years old in three months.
7. 1996 Toyota Camry. Leased again. Nice car, all I could get for my Q45 trade. Got robbed a little on the lease, but the car was trouble free.
8. 1998 Honda CR-V RTAWD. Loved this crossover vehicle. Took it offroad, souped up the radio, spent a lot of extra money on it. My ex-wife took it in the divorce.
9. 1987 Toyota Cressida. Used it as a commuter car, nothing great, but it was another Cressida, solid as ever.
10. 1997 GMC Suburban. Nice truck, but was forced to buy it because I remarried and now had 5 kids and a new wife to carry around.
11. 2002 Chevy Avalanche. Biggest mistake in my car-buying life. I carried $13,000 from my unpaid Suburban loan into this loan. Wife put 48K miles on it in less than 18 months. Got divorced, got the truck, did not need it, but was upside down by about $12K. I am still paying on the loan, while AGAIN, I have a stranger paying most of the monthly payment and driving it until the payoff approaches the trade value (hopefully by December 2005) and he will buy it from me and payoff the loan. Anyone else here paying $511 a month on a vehicle they do not drive/own/want? I am.
12. 2004 HCH manual tranny. Best car I have owned. Reasonable payments.

So there's the whole sad list......

Wow, my list is comparitively quite short, although I've only been driving for 11.5 years or so now.

1) 1983 Nissan Maxima - Not in terribly good shape when I got it, and it kind of went downhill from there. Served me reasonably well for my first 2.5 years of driving though.
2) 1997 Civic HX 5-speed - My first car that I bought on my own! Very proud of it, and have never felt the need to sell it. 130,600 miles and counting.
3) 1988 Civic DX with B16A VTEC motor swap, suspension, gutted, Quaife limited slip, blah blah. Bought it stock, built it up into an autocross killer car, kept having transmission problems and ended up selling it for about 20% of the money I put into it. Live and learn.
