FS: 2001 Honda Insight PRICE REDUCED by $2000
In the tradition of Insight Owners that need to sell (but don’t want to), I am offering up my silver 2001 5-speed. It is in great shape inside and out and has only 44,000m (70,000 km) on it.
About the Insight:
The Insight still holds the title of being the most fuel efficient production vehicle ever made (by far). It uses a 3-cylinder “Integrated Motor Assist” gasoline/electric engine, an all aluminium body and frame, lightweight materials, idle shut-off (engine stops running when stopped), smooth under body and wheel covers to improve aerodynamics.
About this insight:
All of the basic Insight features are here (completely original): power windows, power door locks, power Side Mirrors, A/C, Antilock brakes, power steering, radio with cassette. Lifetime fuel economy is 4.4 l/100km (54 MPG). This car has never been smoked in, has no mechanical issues, and has a clear title. It is a Canadian car but thanks to the digital display, converting it to an imperial odometer is as easy as a click of a button.
My father was the second owner of this car and he purchased it from an elderly gentleman that drove it less than 16,000km in it’s first 4 years. When I bought it from my dad a couple of years ago it still had less than 20,000km. Also, when I bought it, the lifetime fuel economy was at a startling 3.2l/100km (74 MPG) but thanks to mostly city driving and A/C use, it now sits at lifetime 54MPG.
Aesthetically, the only thing that sets this vehicle apart from one that just came off the lot: cosmetic scratches on top of the rear bumper, some small marks on drivers side, a worn floor mat, and scuffed-up wheels. The mags are also aluminium and I don’t think the original owner was a good parallel parker.
Vehicle is located on Vancouver Island. I can be contacted at cdlh@shaw.ca or (250) 383-2091.
Asking Price is $12,900 CAN
