Default Anything in the manual about ID3 Tags?

The JBL stereo plays mp3 discs, but wondering (read hoping) that it also has the capability to decipher the ID3 tags of the particular songs and display them on the stereo LCD.

Has anyone evidenced this or seen it in the manual?

In the audio menu there is a "detail" button which will show ID3 data

if it exists. Can also navigate by folder or file list.

I've burnt a few MP3 CDs and have been playing them in my TCH, it does recognize each folder, and displays text showing album name, artist name, and song name. You'll just have to keep hitting the "text" button on your JBL panel to cycle through these.

In the non-NAV TCH, is there a way to display the rest of an ID3 tag that is longer than the available display? I seem to recall a small arrow pointing to the right indicating the tag is longer.

Per the owner's manual p 190 it doesn't look as though we can display all characters...it states only 10 alphanumeric characters can be displayed.

I hope I'm wrong...maybe there's a backdoor way to git 'er dun.

Thanks for the info. Guess I should RTFM before asking.

Push and hold the "Text" button until a beep is heard, the text beyond the first 10 characters is displayed.

That works great!

Don't know if this is in the manual, but spinning the tuning **** rapidly moves through the songs on a CD.
