You are correct. To reset the reminder, you need to reset only the "A trip" and it won't affect the B reading. For this reason, I display / use B for the tank distance and leave A alone for if I want to see how many miles since my last Oil Change.

I'm guessing you can't wait until the nth start; it's gotta be the first start after the "A" shutoff. Dunno, really. Didn't lose the "A" mileage on this reset. I think I lost it on other resets.
