List of pertinent TSB's

Re: List of pertinent TSB's
My service manager informs me that the revised gear-shift trim-plate assembly, mentioned in Canadian TSB2757 "Shifter Trim Squeak Noise" (of 2007 May 02) [which corresponds to US TSB NV005-07] is still not available. He says that the version released with felt strips applied apparently did not reliably cure the "cricket" noise, and that there's a further-revised trim-plate assembly due out. He did not know when. There's no change to the issued TSB as yet, though. Is there any updated TSB in the USA, schmidtj?
There's also a new Canadian TSB2790 "Instrument Panel Rattle Noise" dated 2007 June xx (it's preliminary — the artwork is not finalized yet) for "a rattle noise from the instrument panel when driving on rough roads. The condition may also be worse when the weather is cold." This sounds as if it addresses the assorted "tick" noises we heard from the dash last winter. However, it requires the whole instrument panel cover to be removed before assorted clips are replaced or adjusted, and foam added. I don't think I'd want them dismantling my dash to do this! I'll post the TSB for information when the "final" version comes out.

Re: List of pertinent TSB's
As I mentioned in post #82, the final version of Canadian TSB2790 "Instrument Panel Rattle Noise" dated 2007 July 16 is now out. I am attaching it hereto, but since this site won't accept a single zip file containing all the images (I wonder why?), I have to attach them piecemeal. Sorry!

Re: List of pertinent TSB's
Interesting....
I've never known the squeak in the dash, but am familiar with the shifter squeak.
Talking the dash out is a bit of a bit job. I did it last weekend.
Check this picture out...
Hardest part, which they don't mention in the manual, is the side air bags. They have a real weird little clip at the top.
Later!

Re: List of pertinent TSB's
"It's currently unavailable but we're negotiating with a few providers so it
can return. It should take a couple of weeks before it returns. If it does
not return you're entitled to a refund and can ask for one.
