Default MPG reading @ 65 mph on flat A HWY

pajasper and I suggested tch owners test there cars milage on a flat hwy at 65 mph on cruise, warmed up and repeat the trip in both directions. My tch read very close to 40 MPG and climed to 50-55 mpg on occassoin but 40 was the benchmark. I would like to know how mine and others rate in this comparsion. one poster said they got lousey milage, this test might confirm if they have a problem

At 65(I've done this test a few times on my own before this post), I consistently get just a hair over 40 MPG on the Nav screens 1 minute increments.

P.S. Just a little warning. My speedometer is off by 5% at 60 MPH. It reads 60 when the car is really going 57(verified by time test over measured mile & by police roadside radar displays). And this throws off MPG calculations by 5%. That is, the real MPG at 65 woiuld not be 40 MPG like it says, but really closer to 38 MPG. There is another msg thread here in the forum where others have seen this problem with the speedometer being off.

65MPH!

Around here you'll get rear ended (probably by me)! Just kidding.
