Default New Wheels

I just bought some chrome Toyota wheels. I can't decide if I like them.

Opinions please>

They look GREAT to me. One of the things I do not care for on the hybrid are the OEM wheels. Your chrome wheels should be a little easier to keep clean, too. Wish I had them.

I'm usually a "five spoke guy," but yours are more in keeping with the hybrid. Also, the five spokes would probably reveal a lot of the brake system which often negates the kewel look of the wheels.

I like the stock wheels and dislike most aftermarket replacements, but yours look great. Thanks for posting.

Sweet! Love the Chrome ....... Are they the same size as OEM? I was considering wheels and tires, but I was thinking about something other than OEM

There's an outfit selling on e-bay chromed versions of stock alloys. Price is not that horrible if you like the look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOT...Q5fAccessories

Thanks Frodo!
When I was checking out the chrome wheels I noticed that the sellor indicates that they would fit model years 97 - 07.
I guess I'm wondering if they will fit later years. I purchased a set of steel rims and caps from a dealership (new 2008 take off) last year. I was going to use them in the winter, but I picked up a used 4x4 instead. Anyway, there was some discussion to the effect that 08s and 09s were the same but earlier years were different.

Maybe the pictures are misleading, but these looked like the chromed versions of what's on my car; they could be Lexus hand-me-downs, but the 8 spoke design is what's on the XLE and Camry hybrid, and they're right offset and 16x6.5, which is the right size. The G5 ( 2002-2006) Camry had 15's as top stock wheel. Obviously, contacting the seller for a confirmation would be A GOOD THING.

FWIW, I was looking around at alloys when I considered the 'basic' Camry hybrid; decided to go with the upgrade package which included the 8 spoke painted alloys.
