Default They screwed up my license plate

I waited over 2 months to get my special clean fuel license plates that allow me to ride in the HOV lanes by myself. I selected 07HYBR as my license. It arrived yesterday reading D7HYBR. I'll have to find out what to do now.

Can anyone think of a good meaning to D7HYBR?

To get the special clean fuel plate I had to limit mine to six characters.

I called DMV (only 20 minutes on hold) and they put in for a new one. In the interim I have to think of something when people ask me what D7HYBR means.

"D" is like "The". You know how the young folks say things like "you d'bomb, dawg." Have I gotten old....

The "7" should be shortened to "se" (without the "ven"), so you are driving a Desiel-Hybrid.

Mine Reads 39 MPG

I can frequently see other motorists discussing the plate in the rear view mirror....

That's a cool plate, but won't you hate changing it once your up your average to 40?

Orcrone, did you speak to DMV yet about correcting the error? If all else fails, you might consider paying a special plate fee again to get the right plate, assuming it's still available.

Skywagon, LECTICK... hahahaha. Good one.

Yes I did. They didn't give me any hassle. They didn't tell me they'd have to research. They just said they'd redo them at no charge. I had to hold for 20 minutes to speak to a live person, but once I did the person was very pleasant and helpful. In the meanwhile I have a conversation piece.

I had originally ordered 41 MPG but called back (and waited another 20 minutes on hold!) 2 days later to change it to 39 MPG after the wife had taken a 500 mile trip & her average was only 39.

(It's her car and she hasn't been able to get above that even with 38 PSI in the tires)
