Default Which window visor?

Has anyone used Wade window visors? I usually use Weathertech but am considering Wade because of price.

I tried Wade in-channel visors on another vehicle, a GMC Envoy, a few years ago and had bad luck with them cracking. The corners would crack and shear between the flat in-channel lip and the curved section in the rear of the window when I used the power windows... After three sets I gave up and went with Vent Visors and had no problems...

I see them everywhere, I always wondered...how do they work?
Why do people use them?
Does a stream of air come in when the window is open?
Is it for smokers to let the air out?

I use them so I can leave my windows cracked to allow heat out during the day while parked. They are also nice so you can open your window a little and not get rained on.
