Default Installing after market prius parts

Hi all,
I'm new to this fourm. I'm a do it yourself kind of guy, and I wanted to ask if there is a thread that discusses the installation processes/headaches for prius parts. I'm trying to decide which prius package to get and was wondering if I couldn't get a package with fewer features and save some money by installing the desired features myself (ie. anti-theft, nav, leather seats, etc.)

Some have been discussed a small bit in various threads, which you can find by searching the forums. The navigation system cannot be installed through the multi-function display aftermarket, but you can always buy a third-party handheld unit. Leather seats have also been installed aftermarket, but if you have side/curtain airbags, you may have some safety issues. I couldn't tell you about anti-theft.
