Walt I'm in the proccess of getting my ford guy to get one for a 2007 he says there is a different part number for the 07-08 than the 05-06 He said it looks like a triangle with the point clipped. It should be here next week.

Thats what I can tell, FP-66 = Fram CF9362. I couldn't find one in a store the otherday, but I did find an eBay store selling a version of it, not sure of the brand, but on sale for like $12.66 + $7 shipping. So all but you 07's can get one fairly easily. Sorry!

Apparently the online part number conversions do NOT work. the 08 is NOT a rectangle, it's more like raindrop shaped with straight sides not smooth like a real raindrop. I guess it's the same triangle as the non-existant 07's!
Hope mark gets us a P/n. or we can try a mercury sable filter like in that link.

But I can confirm, at least for the Hybrid version, and assume gas is the same, the 08's do NOT have a filter all ready installed, and they are not rectangle!


Anybody want to buy a rectange filter from me?!

The filter should be in this week and I will post the #s, if it fits and let y'all know what I've discovered.

well still no filter but I got a Ford part number ---- 8L8Z-19N619-B ----- The dealer is runing a trace to find out what happened to it.

My local Ford dealer parts department still tells me the filter is "unavailable" through them, and they have never seen one.

Semi bad news. According to my parts guy they are waiting on enough orders to ship, whatever that means. Either they have not made them yet or what? He mumbled something about one dealer have them all or something. I have email the company that was linked to see if they infact can get them.
