Long story short, wife's 03 honda civic hybrid would not start and some guy offered to help. He clipped something from underneath the steering wheel column and now my alarm system cannot be armed or the door locks locked or unlocked. The guy did not give back the thing he clipped off. The wife said it was a black little relay looking box. At the end all the car needed was a jumpstart.

So my question is, what would did this person cut off that would cause this problem
