The automotive model year is coming to an end, and Car Mom Kristin Varela has compiled the MotherProof / MotherSpoof Awards for 2005. Varela test drives vehicles looking for design details, storage and safety features that make a mom's life easier.

Best Hybrid for Families: Toyota Highlander Hybrid

Having had a stay-at-home Mom from my birth until the kids were all grown enough, I know she'd have loved saving on those hundred million tiny little grocery/school/sleepover/errand trips moms make. She had to do it all in a 1988 Dodge Caravan.
