rescuing a clean 05, is there a thread to help me?

Re: rescuing a clean 05, is there a thread to help me?
After a good warm-up trip the btm reached 90's and the performance was suffering, rear ac was on, engine was 180's, battery 120.5v, 52%, a.c. low was 60psi, high was 190, ambient 80, I think true ambient must have been higher in the grill/radiator area that is blocked in front with sign plastic
so the chart says maybe a bad compressor, I will find a shop that does free a.c. checks to maybe get more info
should have my old Nissan sold soon for tech money, though I think I will tackle the thermostat myself, maybe it will help the a.c. somehow

If it were mine, I would change that thermostat immediately, and then have that compressor valve changed out, which also requires refrigerant recharge. Then see what happens. Alternately, a compressor is $200 and will have a new valve in it.

New thermostat helped but still only 120v, got a good look at the compressor and it looks like original, serpentine belt was easy, have been fearing the things for decades

Yes, you programmed the s/g wrong. Traction battery will not operate at 120V.
I don't know what the actual threshold is, but a mariner hybrid at resting 248V wouldn't start. Had to be manually charged.
Operating voltages are way up there - probably around 325-350V with swings well above and below that during regen and assist, respectively.

320 btv, then noticed-9312, -9809, -A306.......
After 8minutes -B274
A803, 9299, 9809? Cell #, time?
btm 62.6
soc 45.6
these came up with key on, engine off, no warm up

Emailed Brian at BSG, he says it's the scroll valve in the back of the compressor that's failed. Will get a shop to recover the Freon, hope Napa has the part, great if I can swap it with the compressor in place. Read that the valves are sold with a filter to protect it, also can put the old valve in reverse but efficiency suffers.
Got on the highway for a few miles, cool weather, temps on sg2 were good, ran great, dash showing 24mpg, time to setup the sg2 for mpg.

Napa's scroll valve didn't come with the filter so I gave it back, amazoned it for $10, $40 savings.
Working out of town for a week or 2, will have money for a tech if the mpg still sucks, hoping it's an update or?

Dratts! Week 2 out of town, making money but can't work on the a.c. Will get to see how the bank holds up.
