Hopefully, you're going to get frustrated with the 15 hours it takes to get to 158V

I have finished 3 charge cycles.

below I present notes

1 cycle
charge time 25h
peak voltage 186 V
time to 158 V - 7h 50 min.
158V - 106V - 4h 25 min.

TOTAL DISCHARGE TIME 12h 15 min

2 cycle
charge time 25h
peak voltage 188 V
time to 158 V - 11h 30-40 min
158V - 106V - 2h 40 min

TOTAL DISCHARGE TIME 14h 20 min

3 cycle
charge time 24h
peak voltage 189,8 V
time to 158 V - 12h 40 min
158V - 106V - UNKNOWN (I finished discharge at 80 volts)

TOTAL DISCHARGE TIME ~ 15h 20 min

are these good results?
Should I make another cycle?

Big increase in 2nd

Small increase in 3rd

Each charge went a little higher.

That's exactly how you want it to go.

You can do a 4th, but it's unlikely you'll see any significant gains. Assuming ~355mA current during discharge, that's 4500mAh capacity on a 5500mAh pack.

I'd say you're done. Charge and go.

Hello, I have a 2007 Honda Civic European and I would like to try Building a HCHII grid charger but I needed the construction scheme, step by step.
Please help me with the scheme.
Thank you and sorry for my English

As rightly pointed out by S Keith, the schematic applied to a previous generation, can't recall what forum I found it on.
The following depicts the one I built, as you can see I can't draw to save my life

First, that won't work for an HCH2, and 2nd, you should credit the source.

I am sure I posted the following pics already, but this is what finisher charger looks like:

Hi Coval,
thank you very much for your help and quick response. I liked to build my own network charger,
but I wanted a step by step diagram and if possible with pictures of a grid charger / unloader, without always having to remove the battery from the IMA.
Thank you in advance

The HCH2 requires a PWM controller to properly drive the in-car fan, or you can short the PWM cable to ground and drive the fan with a 12V/10A power supply (it's powerful like a leaf blower). Coval installed a simple 12V 80 or 90mm fan in the exit duct blowing into the trunk (thus it sucks air through the battery from the interior). In my case in, this was not sufficient except in the coolest months.

Hi S Keith
Thanks for the help, but I was unsure of: what advice? the PWM controller for HCH2 and which one? or start the fan with a 12V / 10A power supply.

Thank you
