Re: 2008 Body Molding, installed, looks good
Actually I won't even have my MMH until this afternoon. I did see those on Ebay & once I did see the pics in this forum I decided to go ahead and order so I would have them ready for when my MMH arrived.
I would also be interested to see the pics of your (08Mariner) wife's car with the bug shield.

It actually works great. I bought it at Pepboys actually. Ours has the Sirius satelite radio antenna on the roof and if you look at the accessories catalog, it says it will not work with it. However, ours works just fine!

I ordered mine after my first door mark. I think it will be covered by the molding.

08hybridok,
Here is a pic of the passenger side showing the new molding and a pic of the rear of it if you are interested. I have posted the front pics elsewhere in this thread.

Installation is rather simple. The directions call to measure 6 inches up from the indention that runs the length of the door. It has double-sided tape on the back of it, so it is pretty much a peel and stick installation. I didn't care for what it was going to look like at 6 inches when I temporarily positioned it so I kind of just positioned it where I thought it lookes the straightest. 6 inches is a good reference point though.
