From the stories I read about oil changes at the dealers where folks bought their cars, leads me to believe otherwise!!

 

The dealerships are not required to use hybrid certified mechanics on non-hybrid items such as oil changes.

 

Are they REQUIRED to hire hybrid certified mechanics to work on Hybrid cars??? do you think that means they definitely do??

 

My experience is non-certified hybrid mechanics will do oil changes, tire rotation and basic stuff many of us can do. This is because this type of work does not create much revenue per occurance and the dealerships make money on this work by assigning it to the "lower-paid" mechanics. The work is not hybrid specific.
