Default service soon yellow wrench

Hi,

My 07 escape began displaying the service soon when the weather warmed up. I assumed bad blend door motor and replaced it. Wrench continued to come during warmer periods, scanguge indicated approx 80 deg hybrid batt temp.

Switching on ac drops the temp down into mid 70's, light remains on.

i found instructions for pulling etc from batt module as P0A27. Searching the forum revealed a TSB for a wiring harness in the battery. I called Ford direct and they said it was performed in 2009. To be sure I popped the rear cover and the extension cable is there.

So my dilemma is I am still getting the DTC P0A27 when the wrench is off or on so how do you troubleshoot?
The scanguage does not show a second DTC per the instructions I found.

I removed the multi conductor cable to check for corrosion and found what appeared to be black thread wrapped over the M+ and M- pins that power the blend door motor, still no joy however!

Has anyone seen this before?

Thanks

Chuck
