Squeaking 06 FWD FEH rear end

Re: Squeaking 06 FWD FEH rear end
I had forgotten all about shifting into N-neutral to disable regen and return the braking to a standard type system. Thanks, Glenn, for the reminder.
Babs, to answer your question about why it would be more likely to make more noise at the end of a stop. It is my understanding that in D-drive (and even more in L-Low) some level of regen is present as long as you are above 7MPH and there is no wheel slip detected. So if you're getting the noise at the end of your stop (<7MPH) or if you're adding extra pedal pressure to finish the stop, the brake system is using the pads to stop.
As for the e-brake, I don't think the brake system controls it but I would try what Tim and Jason suggested. I can tell you that my FEH has never had the parking brake applied at all since we've been driving it.

At least for me, it is. Typically, the result of the brakes being wet. If you drive in a good hybrid fashion, you probably use re-gen a lot more than the brake pads. Therefore, you can drive a long distance without the brakes ever heating enough to dry out.
