If you excellerate too quickly is there an RPM Limiter on the engine that will pull the RPM back? Jet1 when you are at high speed say 100MPH what is your RPM. This acourse is minus the JET Assist.

 

At 99 mph the "fun governor" kicks in. I didn't think the OPP lets you go that fast Ken.

 

The Fun Governor cool? At 50KM over the speed limit 150KM the OPP take away your license, vehicle, fine you a maximum of $10,000 Cad and let you walk home.

 

I have had it to an indicated 120mph. So, our Governor out here in California is more fun.
As far as rev limiter goes, yes, all GM computer-controlled vehicles as far back as I can remember have a rev limiter. With an auto trans, they will upshift before the limit. I am certain that it top gear (not Top Gear) they will be drag-limited and not be near the rev limit at top speed. Of course, there are those nasty governors in the other states. Not sure what Canada has, and if that governor would apply to the people of Quebec. At least the people of Ottawa are self-governing.
