Is the purpose of the back exhaust resionator to reduce noise?

Yes: If you like the "Jake Brake" sound when in V4 take it off.

Default I have a resonator Ill send you...

the first thing to go on mine was the resonator. I put the dual tip exhaust on that a forum member was fabricating/selling t 304 stainless and beautifully crafted and it sounds SOOOOOO much better! just a hint of growl except under hard accel...then it sounds positively delightful! do a search for exhaust mods it was several months ago maybe may june. I am EXTREMELY pleased with it. here is the thread https://www.greenhybrid.com/discuss/...ds-pics-21333/

I've done the removal, and like it much better without. Also, good for startling pedestrians when you engine starts up as you are driving past them. I'd take the **** tunable muffler off, but I would worry that I may not like the V4 sound. I can't stand the "flatulent lawnmower" sound that hondas make when the kids drill the holes in their mufflers and add the 9" exhaust tips to their 1" exhaust pipes.
Of course, my Vmax had a V4 and that thing sounded absolutely wicked with what amounted to open headers. Talk about scaring pedestrians...

What the **** is wrong with the word "****"??? I checked the seven dirty words at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_dirty_words and it isn't there.
What ****sucker programmed this board anyway?

Default even more fun...

"good for startling pedestrians when you engine starts up as you are driving past them."

or purposely move off in stealth/Elec mode then 3/4 through the intersection punching it....that always gets a lingering stare in your rear view mirror!
