When I bought my 2008 Yukon Hybrid, I was under the impression that the hybrid system was covered for 8 years. Actually it is 8 years OR 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Wondering if anybody had any issues or mis-understood like I did. Don't want to get into potentially expensive issues. I've got 83, 600 miles on it now.

 

I have 08 with 67K miles no issues for quite a while.

I did buy extended warranty for $2500 which I havent used once.

Only issues I had was when 1st new, the prop shaft was leakin trans fluid so they ended up replacing case and prop shaft with new at dealer.

And of course the stupid door lock actuators failing multiple times but you guys already know gruvenparts.com took care of that once and for all.

My only other issue at moment is the cracked dashboard.

This is all for 08 hybrid tahoe. Has anyone had any luck getting the cracked dash situation resolved ? Mine is almost cracked completely in half now, from all those heavy valet tickets placed on them.

 

Guess I should consider myself lucky, so far no lock or dash crack issues. Main concern re the battery warranty is whether anyone knows of issues that have occurred and if there are any preventative measures to be taken. I still have about one year left on my warranty--have 83,000 miles in 5 years. Only issue was when they replaced the engine at 62,000 miles.
