Used Tahoe Hybrid?

Used Tahoe Hybrid?
I am considering the purchase of a used 2008 or 09 Tahoe Hybrid. Are there any issues I should be aware of before buying? Does odometer mileage have any impact on battery life? This will be my first hybrid purchase so please excuse my ignorance. All input will be appreciated.

I love my 08 yukon...
good luck finding one I have never seen a used one. Be aware that you REALLLY need to learn how to drive it for max benefit IE a slight reduction of pedal pressure on the throttle will keep you at 80 mph but shut down 4 of the 8 cyl. there are a lot of subtle tricks to save fuel

Re: Used Tahoe Hybrid?
Thanks for the pointer. There are about 6 used Hybrids available at dealers in my area. All have average to high mileage. Do you know if there are any issues to keep me from buying an 08 versus an 09?

identical my consideration would be the in service date on the car which determines how much warranty you would have I bought my 08 in feb of 09 which is when the warranty started

Re: Used Tahoe Hybrid?
I have an 08 w/30K miles (still under factory b-b warranty)
Issues so far :
1. Door locks. All doors. Replaced actuators under warranty.
2. Leaking prop shaft. Replaced prop shaft, rear seal, rear trans cover under warranty.
Thats it so far. Ive heard of lots of other issues on other hybrid tahoes but for now mine is OK. Safe to say I WILL be extending out the warranty. Those door lock actuators are $400 ea and seem to last about a year.
