Default How do I run power to the trunk?

Anybody here have experience running a power cable from the engine bay to the trunk of an HCHII? My primary concern is getting the wire from the cabin into the trunk...can the wire be passed through the rear seats even though they don't fold down and the hybrid battery pack is there? Thanks

if you give it a gently pull at the leaning edge near the door, you'll see the slight opening to allow wires thru
IMA battery may be there but it don't occupy the entire space, there's a good 1/2 foot clearance

remember when see orange color pipe or tubing, AVOID

I just had a quick look and you're right! thanks bengteck!!! I found the small opening that leads to the trunk. I'm thinking of installing a remote trunk release system in my '07 HCHII so that I can open the trunk from the key. It turns out I'm running the wire from the fuse box inside the cabin to the trunk (not from the engine bay to trunk) so its a lot simpler than I thought, I'll just tuck it under the door trim and bring it out by the rear seat and into the trunk.

i install an additional module to the door open wire
the module will only trigger if i press the open button twice successively within 2 sec
best part it don't require addtional power to active them

at the boot i've install an actuator to sumilate the pulling effect, addtionally i added a buzzer so i know the boot open triggerred

have fun with your mod, if you wish to know more on other modification email me at bengtecktan@yahoo.com

Canadian civics before '08 don't have the remote trunk release
