Question interior fabric quality on 09

Has anyone any complaints about the 09 fabric interior?

in my experience with HCH 2003, the fabric interior still does not 'show' any wear despite having been drenched with rain (left windows down in the parking lot). no stains, no smells, no 'fuzziness'.

is the 09 fabric just as good?

i want to steer away from leather due to its appearance with age, cracks, and tendency to get hot/cold w the weather.

my 07 and 09 have the same blue cloth interior - the 07 had almost 50,000 miles and still looked new. I like the cloth seats cause they are cooler in the summer.

an after thought, does the fabric color show any signs of fading from sun exposure?

it just occured to me that fading may not be as noticeable on beige interior, keeping its look longer.

I have UV absorbing tint on all window except the windshield ( it has a tint strip at the top ). So fading of color of the seats etc, is not going to happen. It aslo keep the interior much cooler so the A/C does not have to work as hard. I also have AVS in channel window visor to keep the rain/sun out when the windows are cracked in the summer. (20% on the rear sides and 35% on the rear window and drivers/front passenger window and 10% on the top of the front windshield. - best $175 mod you can make to a HCH II civic.)

good idea. was this tinting mod done by the dealer? its not selectable on hondas website..

i almost always drive with all windows down in the summer, so not sure how much this would help me, but in the office parking lot this might go a long way...

I asked my salesman - who did them for the dealership - went to that tint shop myself and saved $150 that the dealership marked up. A good shop is always busy - I had to wait 2 weeks for my appointment - you cannot see that there is tint applied - that good a job. Lots of places say they do tint, but if they have not done 100's of similar cars, it shows in poor workmanship or other problems.

expect 2-3 hours for a great job - windows properly prepared, tinted and cleanup. you cannot roll down your windows for 48 hours to allow the tint to set.

do not have window visors installed before you tint the car - 2 days after the tint - then put them on.

We are going to have 3M CS installed soon. I also want to install Mugen window visors.
