Anything you can plug headphones in to you can play through the AUX in put on the Civic. I have a Sirius S50 going through mine and it's great. I've also used my Creative Labs Muvo player as well. Radio Shack has a small 1ft cable that will work.

you can play anything from tapes to cd's to mp3 players as long as it has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. you can get the male-to-male adaptor at places like radio shack.

before i upgraded to a dedicated MP3 player, i used my compaq ipaq in my Element with the Aux input and it worked great!

do you mean a Pocket PC or Palm device ?????

With PPC, you will not have any problems. Go to Radioschak and get two sided head-phone plug cable.

Download extra mediaplayer skins from MS site to make the PPC windows mediaplayer skin bigger and more managable.

Depends on your PPC, you can also buy a car charger for your PDA.
I got one for my IPAQ for $6.95 from eBay that charges the PPC through its sycn port at the bottom.

Also, don't forget the get memory card to load with MP3s.

remember all, if you have bluetooth PPC, you can get a nice GPS system too. The PPC will communicate with antenna throu bluetooth up to 20 feet.

It's a Sony Clie Nx-V73 I think. I don't have it here with me right now so I can't look to see what model# it is. I do know it's about 2 years old though.

Sure! I used to have a Palm Tungsten T3 and two 256 Mb chips loaded with tunes. There is a RealPlayer client available for PalmOS (for Real format) and a 3rd party app (forgot the name) that plays MP3 and Vorg-Orbis (whatever that is). I had a tiny set of battery powered speakers mounted on velcro in my car. It wasn't until the PDA bit the dust that I got a 6 Gb iPod Mini.

I suppose I *could* turn my iPAQ into a MP3 player, but that would be redundant now.

Do you mean to imply that there will be a problem with Palm devices?

To set the record straight, most new Palm OS devices play music, see comparison chart here:

http://www.palm.com/us/products/compare/

and, there is an application for the Palm, "Pocket Tunes" That works quite well. Full info here:

The 3rd party app may be Pocket Tunes from Normsoft:

A quick search at www.palmgear.com revealed at least 3 or 4 more mp3 players from other app developers.

As for "Vorg-Orbis" (sic), from http://www.vorbis.com/: "Ogg Vorbis is a completely open, patent-free, professional audio encoding and streaming technology with all the benefits of Open Source."

The Pocket-Tunes and Ogg-Vorbis is the app I was thinking of.

My big gripe with Palm products is that the develop serious memory problems after about a year. My favorite is "Invalid Memory Handle". Palm's tech support is abysmal (and in India). Their answer to everything is to perform a hard reset. After sticking it out with three Palms, all with identical problems (T, T3, T5), I got a PocketPC
