Trip221... I'm an avid road biker and have hauled two road bikes in the trunk of my HCHII on a 2,000 mile trip last year. I actually fit THREE bikes in the car last month, but that consumes the back seat, too.

It's not very convenient fitting the bikes in the trunk or back seat, but it does work okay for long trips. If you're going short distances... and often... you'll want a rack. We currently use our SUV with a Thule rack on the back. I know this same rack can be mounted to a hitch on the HCHII. There are photos of this in another thread (along with shots of my two bikes in my trunk!). If you can't find it let me know and I'll hunt them down for you.
