new from Singapore
Hi all....
just found this site today while trying to figure out what fuel to use in my coming car...
4 days to go before I leave the "Dark Side"....
Will contribute my consumption data in the days to come. :-)

Re: new from Singapore
When you pick up your new civic, the owner's manual should have the fuel type you should use for your particular region. Here in the states, the civic will run fine on 87 octane, which in some areas, is reformulated fuel with up to 10% ethanol. Good luck and welcome to the site.

Haven't seen the manual, but the broucher says "Unleaded Regular"
The only problem is, we don't go by "Regular/Supreme" here since many years back. They are all label 92/95/98/V-Power/XO. I was trying to figure out if it is 92 or 95, until I read a thread here that points me to 92.

Re: new from Singapore
Hi UncleO.. really nice to meet another Singaporean here....
Guess. I got my car slightly later than you... it is about 3 weeks old, but I have done 1200km...
now dashboard is showing 16.9km/l because of the 1000km service..... I think they left the engine running for a while during the service as it drop from 18.1 to 16.0 when I pick the car up...
still haven't finish my 2nd tank...

Re: new from Singapore
Trip A is showing 18.4km/l (lifetime, never been reseted)
Trip B also showing 18.4km/l (reset since 1000km servicing)
I'm hoping to break the 20km/l one day, the US guys seems to easily do that.
Did you increase your tire pressure? I up mine to 240kpa from recommended of 210kpa. US owners up theirs to 40psi but I'm not sure if their tires are same as ours. I'm staying low for the time being.

Re: new from Singapore
I got my tire pressure up to 250kpa. I haven't tried higher, but 250kpa was what I had on my focus previously, so I thought get it to this 1st.
My lifetime shows only 15.8 km/l because of extremely poor usage in the 1st 300km..
The 16.8 I have now is for this tank (started before the service).
I am still on 98.. more for the "cleaner engine" additives in it... Going to down it to 95 in my next tank, and to 92 after hitting 3500km. I guess this it the other reason of my low mpg... Which are you using? The Kah sales person actually adviced me to use 98 till 45000km then gradually lowers... but I am think I trust the experiences of the members here than the sales person.
Did you meet any other Hybrid owners yet? You are the 1st I come across, haven't seen any on the roads except those from Honda car sharing scheme.

Re: new from Singapore
Hmm...maybe I'll try 250kpa on the next pressure check . I'm been using Shell 95 all along, I think it's good enough, to me they are just fuel So far I've seen a Prius and two HCHII(both on same night) on sg roads. And had a curious fellow came up and ask like "Eh, your car is that one that runs on electric right?"
Right now my trip A is 18.5 and B is 19.2km/l but I'm 75% highway though.
