Abs vcs ..
Hi All,
Camry 2007 Hybrid Japan Build
The ABS VCS light comes on right now and from searching the internet I figure out that I had to change the ABS actuator - Why some is calling it ABS pump assembly ? -.
Can I do change this by myself? if yes can someone provide some details on how to do it.
From search also I know that I had to Bleed the system...can I do this also by myself, if yes what are the tools required to do it ?
Thanks

Re: Abs vcs ..
There are no error codes ...Just the VCS on the dashboard along with the brake and ABS sign and the skid signs.
Just to be clear the light comes on when start and then it disappear for a while and then it comes on...
it was gradual where sometimes it never come back, but now this what is happening.
Thanks

Re: Abs vcs ..
How's your brake fluid level?
If your brake fluid level is good, there are codes. You have not used a suitable code reader.
Before you do anything, you need to get the codes even if it means a trip to the dealership.

Re: Abs vcs ..
Get the codes checked before you go out and buy anything. I had the same lights and one of the ABS sensors was not reading. I replaced the entire bearing assembly and then noticed there was something stuck in the speed sensor. Cleaned it out and the sensor was reading again..Now I have a spare bearing assembly
