I just found it strange that it was so tight, and no one mentioned it previously. I think also the placement makes it difficult (with the shifter in the way etc).. Maybe its time to break out the power tools..

Thanks Wilson! I guess I need to find a little more leverage to break it loose.. I think I'll try again next week.

Just make sure you have the parking brake on because you will need to have the ignition to move the shifter to B.

Did you decide to do it yourself versus having the store do it?

Now that has me thinking!! Did you have to provide instructions or anything to them (custom connector etc)? Or did you just give them the BEC106 out of the box?

First, I gave the manager a pair of Lincolns($10) and told him that lunch was on me. That broke the ice...Despite OSHA regulations, he let me watch during the installation. I printed out this thread and gave it to him with the BEC106. I also gave him some sub-d connector pins(available at radio shack) so he would be able to make the connection between the camera wires and the R10 connector block. He was very familiar with the TCH as he installed several aftermarket stereos in other toyotas previously. All he looked at was the pin out specifications for the R10-camera interface. 2 hours later, voila, the rear camera was installed and operational. He knew exactly how to remove the trim and nav unit. He even gave me all the extra parts that he didnt put back(lol). I didn't have any rattles before the install and none after... A great experience!

While every body is getting BEC 106. I bought a different cam(cheaper) from ebay. In my opinion, it is easy to change the cam, if I dont like it, as all the wiring will be there.
