Coasting Uphill

Coasting Uphill
Yesterday we drove around the west bypass of town. It's 3 miles long and a 55 miles per hour speed limit. I was approaching the north railroad overpass. I know from experience to pulse down the cruise starting at the right side guardrail. I pulse it from 45 miles per hour which I was going down to 35. I pulled to release the cruise. That way I can coast down to 30 to top the grade. I do this due to a red light being at the bottom of the other side.
My problem was some fellow in a SUV was next to me (right side) was mirroring my exact moves. I needed over in his lane to turn back toward down to go eat. I tapped the brakes just enough to go behind him and get in the turn lane, he went straight. I thought to myself, I bet he would be good at driving a hybrid.
