Well now, remember, NY is adopting many of the CA emissions laws!

Anyhow, I didn't want to start a debate but merely voice concern for the stink this car picks up...

When I have circulating mode on...I don't smell a thing. That was one of the biggest suprises I discovered about the Camry Hybrid. I have never owned a car that could block the outside smell out. Amazing.

isn't that the point of recirculation? To shut out the outside smell?

Well, that's certainly a benefit of it. I think the main point however is to maximum cooling efficiency with the A/C. I have had one car where the recirc button was labeled "Max AC".

American cars usually have the "MAX A/C" button.. a one button/**** position that does it all. Similar to the VENT setting I presume.

i was driving behind a car from VT today and they kept blowing bong smoke out the window. i sure smelled that!
