I sure wish Toyota had done this LONG ago...past cars I've owned have had auto up and auto down on all 4 windows, which is something you really get used to.

** as a note, generally auto up and auto down functions are LOCATED on the driver's side controls only, thereby inhibiting the ability for a child in the back seat to hurt him or herself...although at times I've seen a passenger-side auto up and down control.

Usually small children are not in the driver's seat (driving).

In any case, the auto-up feature also includes a safety override switch if the window hits an obstruction (like an arm). At least they do on a Honda - assume Toyota would as well.

Another 'very odd' Toyota decision.

  • Every Prius since 2004 (don't know about before) has driver's side auto up and down - not available in the HC
  • Switched lighted vanity mirrors - part of a package in HC
  • Most '06 Prii packages have a backup camera, apparently ALL '07 packages will - not even an option in the HC??
  • The '07 HC has 1 minute consumption bars (to 60 MPG) that are saved over Power-off, the '06 Prius still has 5 minute blocks (to 99 MPG) that are not saved.
It seems to me that each of these features would be part of the base or part of a package in both cars. Is there some marketing research that says a Camry buyer wants a CD changer, power seats (not available in any Prius), VSC and autodimming Homelink mirror but the Prius buyers want auto up/down driver's window, backup camera and switched lighted vanity mirrors??????

I found these two schematics.
The TCH is missing the Driver Side Power Window ECU, LED illuminiation control signal and a Hall IC.

My dealer didn't tell me about this package. Was it a port installed option?

The Convenience Package is "CQ" which includes Heated Mirrors "HM" and requires Leather Package "LA".
I'd have to research it but the lighted mirrors MIGHT be part of the Leather Package.
