No more "I Agree" button!

Re: No more "I Agree" button!
Did you HAVE to push the 'I agree' button for your system to work?
I have a similar nav system on my '08 Chrysler Sebring Limited convertible. The 'I agree' button comes on, but if I don't push it, the system comes on and works normally a few seconds later.
I can imagine your frustration if you HAD to push that button.....that would be about as popular as....manditory health insurance?

Nope. Just like the tortuous seat belt dinger, it's a persistent trick. That disclaimer screen would stay active after every single start, until you bloody well agreed to it. A small hole or wear mark was starting to develop in the lower right corner.
Yes, government health care, nanny-state electronic harassment, pretty much the same ugly spawn in my book.

I took me almost 3 years to get around to killing that thing after my dealer said it was "illegal to turn it off". Idiots.
Now I pop my belt off a full block from home and keep it unbuckled while navigating parking lots where my wallet is needed to exit. It provides a satisfying, vicarious thrill of liberty.
